This work takes the audience on a journey through Aggie Park. It examines our relationship with water in the midst of a changing climate. Desertification is dying up areas of the earth, leaving them more vulnerable to flooding when rains do come. Coastal areas, like our home of New York City, are at risk of storm surge and sea level rise. These circumstances situate water as a threat, yet it is a necessity of life. As we grapple with these complex and shifting issues, we are reminded of our interconnectivity and interdependence, which can eloquently be modeled through dance, and which drives this work.
