Ready to tour to locations along and near the Erie Canal.
To celebrate the Bicentennial of the Erie Canal, Artichoke Dance was commissioned by the Waterfront Alliance and Waterfront Museum to create Lock Step, a performance reflecting movement in and along the Erie Canal’s route and through its lock system. Lock Step leads audiences on a journey that reflects the nature of moving water, activities that took place during early navigation years, and the connectivity that the Erie Canal enabled.
“Your entrance from a distant shore through the garden and meadow into the museum was nothing short of stunning! We see your passion. Thank you for your good work.” David Sharps, President, The Waterfront Museum
Community engagement and educational add ons are available for this work.
